Cookie Notice

This notice explains the limited storage and access technologies used on the EJCS website.

1. Public website visitors

EJCS does not use advertising cookies, visitor profiling, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta pixels, embedded video trackers or similar marketing technologies. The public website does not place information in local storage, session storage or IndexedDB.

The following security cookie was found during the technical audit:

__cf_bm

Provider: Cloudflare, supporting the site’s managed hosting and security.
Purpose: distinguishes legitimate requests from automated or malicious traffic and helps protect the site.
Type: strictly necessary security cookie · Typical duration observed: approximately 30 minutes.

This cookie is necessary for the security and reliable delivery of the service requested when a visitor opens the website. It is not used by EJCS for advertising or visitor profiling.

2. Hosting telemetry disabled by EJCS

The managed hosting platform supplied GoDaddy visitor-telemetry scripts identified as scc-c2 and tccl-tti. The supplied code was capable of creating persistent visitor and visit identifiers and recording page activity. EJCS does not need that visitor-level analytics, so the site is configured to prevent those scripts from being delivered to visitors.

Because those scripts are blocked, the associated telemetry identifiers, including _tccl_visitor, _tccl_visit and _scc_session, should not be created by the EJCS public website.

3. WordPress administrator cookies

WordPress sets authentication and preference cookies when an authorised EJCS administrator signs in. These can include names beginning wordpress_, wordpress_logged_in_, wp-settings- and wp-settings-time-. They are required for secure administration and are not set for ordinary public visitors.

4. Why there is no consent banner

After the non-essential hosting telemetry is blocked, the anonymous public site uses only the short-lived security cookie described above. A consent banner is therefore not shown because there is no optional technology for a visitor to accept or reject.

5. Server records

The hosting and security platform also creates server and security logs when pages are requested. These records are not cookies and do not store information on your device. They are described in the Privacy Notice.

6. Your browser controls

You can delete or block cookies using your browser settings. Blocking a necessary security cookie may cause parts of the site or its security checks to work less reliably.

7. Changes

If EJCS adds an optional analytics, embedded-media or marketing service in future, we will update this notice and introduce an appropriate consent control before that technology is used.
